Dev Log 11: Tutorial

Hello All!

This week we have completed the tutorial required in our game! This provides an introduction to the mechanics, the goal of the game, and how to use the different tools and the environment provided to you. This tutorial guides the player through the first customer, and how to progress in the game to the second customer. This leaves plenty of the game to learn, but provides a solid foundation to the things the player should be prepared for and actions the player should take to succeed in the game!

For extra ease of entry, the tutorial provides indicators to where the player should go, and which items should be interacted with in a step wise manner. Within this tutorial portion, the timer will be hidden and not reset until the player completes the tutorial (which is expected with 30s remaining). Certain actions will be locked until the tutorial explains it, but realizing that we may have some people who do not want to do a tutorial, upon skipping the loop, this will skip the tutorial portion and put the player right into the core gameplay loop.

This are the final changes that will be made for the final presentation of this game, and this tutorial will hopefully help players be able to play the game without any prior knowledge.

For some final notes, a web build has finally been made for this game! This web build is not the true experience we want our players to have, but it provides a good essence of what the game contains. The quality is of course lower than the downloadable version, and controllers are not recognized in the same manner as on PC. However, we still encourage players to play this to try it out, and if you are interested you are free to download the PC version!
